I did buy the LX with the cabinet underneath since I expect to keep the grill a long time. And, I grill all year long, so I also got the natural gas version which makes life a lot easier not having to worry about whether there’s propane left. It’s a luxury since hooking up a natural gas line can be expensive but if you use the grill a lot, it’s worth it. The heat generated by NG seems comparable to propane and I’ve done burgers, steaks, and rotisserie chicken all to good effect. This is my third Weber, my first lasted 25 years. The second caught fire but it was my fault since I failed to empty the grease pot (dumb). Fortunately, I had a kitchen fire extinguisher close at hand which I strongly recommend.
