I bought a weber genesis in the fall. I did extensive research on many different brands before settling on it but I found that unfortunately you will be spending upwards of $500 for a grill that will not rust out and fall apart in a couple years. I really wasn’t looking forward to spending as much as I did but when you think about it your buying an outdoor appliance, its sometimes worth spending a little extra for quality. I had a masterforge previously that was bought at Lowe’s (~$200) and it was rusting out after only a year and it had a cover on it. Unfortunately that is the price you have to pay for a quality grill.
We’ll see what time shows, but for now it is undoubtedly a challenger for the position of the best gas grill. It has a big enough cooking area, an iGrill3 thermometer and timer, the Gs4 grilling system, three burners that make it possible to create areas of different temperatures and cook indirectly, a selection of four colors and many other advantages, topped with a ten year warranty on all the elements. All of that for a completely reasonable price, the gas grill is definitely worth its money. The systems and technologies present in this grill have only been available in much more expensive grills so far.

Yo, Kevin! Hope that you can soon review one of my all-time favorite purchases, the Traeger Li’l Tex Elite Smoker/Grill. After using it for a couple of months, I gave away my two year old gas-grill to my grandson. We’ve done chicken, turkey, pheasant, lamb, all kinds of beef, pork and sausages including some wonderful ribs and brisket. Our Easter Rib Roast turned out terrific as did the chunks of assorted sausages that we did for another family get-together. I was never a big fan of grilling until we got our Traeger. Both Traeger and the web-sites like yours are full of great recipes and ideas.

The smoking grill is usually at the top so that as the smoke and heat rise, they reach your food adequately. I imagine it to be like an outdoor stove where we could smoke/char/burn the ever loving heck out of food, haha instead of making the smoke detectors inside cry…again…me and my cast iron frying pan do enjoying putting a char on stuff.
I recently bought a Green Mountain Daniel Boone, it works very well. Great value for the money. In our test, going up against the Weber Genesis II E-310, the Napoleon Rogue 425, and the Broil King Signet 320, the Weber Spirit E-310 produced the best deep, crusty sear on hamburgers. Despite measuring in the middle of the pack on temperature (about 650 °F after 15 minutes on high), the Spirit’s grates made the best sear marks—even better than the identical grates on the Weber Genesis II, leading us to surmise that the smaller Spirit model concentrated the burners’ heat better. We had no problems with the meat sticking to the flat, porcelain-coated iron grates. And we had no problems with flare-ups, grease fires that produce charring and acrid smoke. (All grills produce a brief burst of flame when grease drips onto the burner hoods; the problem is persistent fires.)

A couple more reviewers weren’t happy about rust forming on the grate, but it’s cast iron – that’s the nature of the beast. See it on Amazon today.
