several times via email and phone, demanding a response. Then, they I bought a Weber Spirit E-330 and this Ravenna grill cover https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D2VUN0Q last April. The Camp Chef PG24S is one of the most high-capacity , heavy-duty smokers we’ve ever used. For its size, it’s fairly easy to operate and won’t require you much maintenance. Although it’s quite heavy, it definitely cooks large amounts of food for big groups. Overall, a great investment that will last you a long time.
Had lunch here today with in house sauces and passion to burn. Godfreys is a meat lovers heaven. We will be back Ken–fair enough, and thanks for the comment. Do you have a better recommendation for the same application around the same price point? I’m totally open to improving my reviews and recommendations, but especially given the awards the WSM has taken I have not found anything better, minor design flaws notwithstanding. Maybe you have!

Set it and forget it, that's the selling point of gas smokers. Just be sure to budget for at least two LP tanks, because smoking meat can require loooong cook times, and you don't want to run out of fuel. Since gas itself doesn't produce smoke, you add it by tossing chips or chunks on a pan above the burner. There are many options under $200, and they all work pretty darn well. And a note to potential wood snobs: Most of the nation's best BBQ joints now smoke with gas for heat and wood for flavor (not talking about you, Texas).

There are actually some benefits to cast-iron over stainless steel; they hold heat longer than steel, so they’re a good choice for slow-cooking foods like ribs – although nothing beats smoked ribs cooked in a top of the range electric smoker. In short, you’re not paying the much higher prices charged for all-stainless construction, but the grill is constructed to maximize heat distribution, consistency and effectiveness, so the end product is still delicious.

Broil King Available Accessories UFOs Well built and compact, this smoker and grill still has a 300 square inch cooking space, and is generally big enough to fit a small turkey inside, so it’s ample for six to eight people. It’s really easy to use, with an automated electric start, front mounted thermometer and idiot proof digital controls that make this so simple, an absolute beginner could walk up to it, have a quick play around and start cooking.
And now, you’re yearning for one of your own so you can smoke your turkey, beef, pork, and so on. But there’s a problem – there are so many options that you can’t decide on one. You don’t even know what features to look for.

More on Cars DNA Testing Kits Crawfish Cooking Kevin- I’m in the process of researching to get my husband a grill for Christmas. I’m torn between the 820 you mentioned above and the Traeger Pro Series. As far as I can tell they are basically the same except that you get a larger cooking area on the pit boss for the same price you pay for a small cook space in a traeger. I would like to spend around $600 on the grill but would possibly go up to $800 and want 500 sq in cook space or greater. Which do you prefer? Pit Boss, Traeger or another brand?

Manufacturers tout the number of BTUs (British thermal units) their grills can produce, but that number can be very misleading. BTUs don't indicate the amount of useful cooking heat a grill can generate; they just tell you how much fuel it burns. Naturally, larger grills with more burners will burn more fuel. Heat flux—that's BTUs per square inch—is a much more useful indicator of a grill's searing power, and is something the manufacturers never tell you. We've calculated heat flux for you here and in the extensive searchable equipment review database at AmazingRibs.com. Typical flux for a gas grill is around 85 BTUs per square inch.

Photo: Tattie Chomper/flickr I haven’t posted here before, but have been reading and finding a lot of good information on this site. I am in the market for a pellet grill so have been researching some of them listed on this site. Out of Yoder, Green Mountain, Memphis and MAK I really like price, features and looks of the Yoder YS640. I was wondering if anyone has used Louisianna pellet grills? For example, the CS680? I don’t see it mentioned much on bbq blog sites so not sure if it is a good brand. Thanks for any advice.
