It is laughable that you accuse me of making personal attacks, when it was you who made this personal in your private emails to me. You appealed to things that you and I supposedly have in common, things which are completely irrelevant to the question of whether your product works, in an effort to garner sympathy. Then, when it became clear that it was not going to work, you got nasty and suggested that I must have been paid off by a laundry detergent company to post my blog entry about your product.
When gasoline remains in your tank for a while, the fuel molecules start to cluster. The molecules on the inside of these clusters can’t be exposed to the oxygen necessary for combustion. The result: Incomplete fuel burn with the unburned molecules emitted as pollution or remaining inside your engine as damaging carbon/varnish deposits.

I had two of these for about ten years and was happy to find this type available. I read several one and two star reviews prior to making the purchase and was concerned about the hampers possibly being malodorous. I’m pleased to say mine don’t have even a hint of bad odor. They look very nice and are practical for separating towels from other laundry. The price was reasonable and I’m very pleased with both hampers that I received recently. I highly recommend this item for anyone looking for a two-compartment laundry hamper.
Although MWT appears to be effective in some cases, the parameters of water composition, magnetic field strength, treatment geometry and flow rate that lead to satisfactory performance have never been clearly defined. Closer study often reveals that other factors (such as pH change) could account for the improvements that might otherwise be attributed to MWT.
The effect of the laundry balls may be explained by simple mechanical action and by the usage of hotter water. Some manufacturers claim that their products reduce energy consumption, but their pamphlets recommend using hot water.[4] Hot water will clean some types of spots better than cold water,[4][6] leading some people to conclude that the balls worked. The mechanical action of the laundry balls can help clean some types of spots,[4][6] but a golf ball will achieve the same effect for much less money.[2]
To eliminate stains, regular detergent boosts the water’s presently present magnetic force. Now, you do not need to use detergent to improve the pressure, particularly when magnets certainly are a much better, more cost-effective, and environmentally friendly solution. The magnets cause the water to tug out the grime, grease, odors, and other compounds from the clothes, without having harming the fibers. Moreover, you will recognize which the final results are only as efficient or are better yet than standard detergents. Since the model explains, water is the common solvent and now, you can tap into its energy with this particular revolutionary and successful magnet system.
When this happens, the water is considered “activated”.  Along with this process, the minerals and salts suspended in the water become activated into an “ionic”  form, (charged particles), aiding in the cleaning process.
Can you use the magnet ball in the dryer to dry clothes etc quicker/more effectively as many times larger items such as linen can turn into a ‘ball’ and not dry as effectively. Can it assist? Is it safe?
I need to know how to properly return this? There is a P.O. address on the package it came in, but always like to make contact with the company before sending it in the mail. Many times there is a different address in which to return it, often a RMA #.
Duffy (1977) provides experimental evidence that scale suppression in magnetic water treatment devices is due not to magnetic on the fluid, but to the dissolution of small amounts of iron from the magnet or surrounding pipe into the fluid. Iron ions can suppress the rate of scale formation and encourage the growth of a softer scale deposit. Busch et al. (1986) measured the voltages produced by fluids flowing through a commercial magnetic treatment device. Their data support the hypothesis that a chemical reaction driven by the induced electrical currents may be responsible for generating the iron ions shown by Duffy to affect scale formation.
The size and quality of this hamper is great. But beware: The color is a much darker brown in person. I tried to like it, but it was just so hard on my eyes. To be frank, it’s an ugly poop brown. 🙁 Further disappointment when I paid over $15 to ship it back on my own. Not happy and will not be purchasing from this seller again!

Although Jonathan is certainly entitled to his opinion and his assessment, his voice is the extreme minority of actual users of the product. I respect him for his activism on other issues, but he is simply wrong on this one. I truly wish him and his family the best. He may also keep his product free of charge for his trouble.
Most people use too much detergent, because (a) most people are careless about measuring the detergent and (b) the detergent manufacturers tell people to use more than they actually need to get the clothes clean.

I’m really pretty stunned that they seem to work. I have dogs, so I put sheets over the beds. These sheets get pretty grimy,so they were my test…yes, they came out fine, no trace of dog on them and smelling good. I’m going to be using them and not detergent from now on and would recommend them. The down side is they are not available in Canada, only through US Amazon. I am close to the border so had the shipped to an address there and avoid the extra shipping fee. Not sure why they are no longer available in Canada, apparently they used to be . In summation worth the investment.
Washing soda? What’s that?: It is sodium carbonate, closely related to baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate. “[U]nlike baking soda, slightly stronger washing soda can’t be ingested; wear rubber gloves when handling it,” says Real Simple, which reports that both can be purchased at supermarkets — roughly $1.08 a pound of baking soda vs. around $1.75 a pound for washing soda. Penniless Parenting, a blog, tells how to heat baking soda to make it into washing soda.

  1. If you’ve never heard of a washing ball, or laundry ball before, let’s start with the basics. There are many different types of ball available, but they all have their similarities. Visually, they’re a small, plastic ball, disc, or donut that you throw into your washing machine along with your clothes. Technically, they contain magnets, metal beads, ‘minerals’, and some even contain a small amount of detergent. Depending on the exact type of washing ball, there are different ways in which they are claimed to work:
These seem to work well, and I was impressed BUT after two weeks of using them the plastic covers began to split, our machine has a metal drum with a plastic agitator, I see no reason for them to start splitting, so I have returned them…….
Water is diamagnetic, and magnets have no effect on water. However the thermal motion of partially charged atoms gives rise to a Lorentz field thus making the hydrogen bonds stronger when a significant magnetic field is applied.
You have no idea how much “effort and time” I have spent on this, nor do you have any idea how much time I would consider “enormous.” I’d venture to say that I’ve spent less time on this than you have.
The company does offer some performance data and a long list of “case studies”, but given the scientifically questionable “technology” they use, one would want to see some references to published articles in the reputable agricultural/soil science literature.
