“Buy The Decorative Magnets For Laundry California laundry magnets work”

People who buy these magnets and think that their clothes are being cleaned by them are actually taking advantage of the detergents left behind on the clothes from before they switched to the magnets.
The power of multilevel marketing has led to an amazing proliferation of “structured water” products whose profit margins must be absolutely breathtaking. Onesource Worldwide Network, for instance, puts forth the bold claim (and probably a different claim than it makes to the IRS), that in “nine short months” it has “paid out an unprecedented $6.7 million in on “more than $84 million in product.” The sidebar to the right lists only a select sample of cyberhucksters; hit the search engines for more.
A good example is the very well-written but scientifically dubious 1997 article Quinn C. J., Sanderson C. W, Molden, T.C, “Magnetic treatment of water prevents mineral build-up”, published in 8/97 Iron and Steel Engineer
Magnetism is a mysterious phenomenon to most people, and even many of us who have taken a few courses in college physics often don’t feel we really “understand” it. In the 19th century, hucksters and scam artists were taking advantage of the public’s ignorance of magnetism by offering fraudulent magnetic products to treat everything from baldness to impotence, and an even wider variety of magical wonders are being hawked over the Internet nowadays.
Water Liberty (Adya Clarity) even makes outrageous claims that imply the high-aluminum formula can prevent cancer, saying, “proven to remove accumulated carcenogenic [sic] heavy metals and toxins from your body by as much as 40% — cancer-causing contaminants such as mercury, lead, arsenic, aluminum, and more!” But the so-called “research” upon which this is based is clearly fraudulent (see below).
I’m not one for separating items when I wash (shameful, I know).  I’ve noticed no difference in the wear of delicate items.  Same goes for wool.  I even use them with my more delicate homemade items.
This kind of “activation” is not yet known to Chemistry! Further, the minerals are not “suspended”, but are dissolved and already exist as ions. And the major ions of Ca and Mg tend to reduce the effectiveness of detergents.
The first item I put in, was my pup’s dog bed that he threw up on. I didn’t even take the pillow case off of it, I just threw the whole thing in the wash. Put the magnets on each side of the washing machine basin, and washed in hot water. No stain remover or anything else, as I wanted to see what these magnets could do. It came out CLEAN, no stain, no doggie smell, nothing. Just clean and fresh smell.
There is no other Magnetic Laundry System as its formula is protected, verified and patented by two patents. The tests are not limited to the laboratories as the consumers who have used this product use words like: ‘Magic’, ‘Ecological’, ‘Clean’, ‘Savings’, ‘Incredible’, ‘Environmentally friendly’, ‘No stinky smell’ etc.
The Green Bar takes a different tack — instead of structuring water, it uses “neodymium bio transmitters” which “removes the propensities of calcium and magnesium to cling to foreign objects” although a “chemical analysis of the water would detect no difference.”
The front fabric is wrinkled/loose, not sleek like in the photo. Color is disappointingly a very dark brown, like dark chocolate or coffee grounds, not as pictured, see photo. Two stars for it’s nice size and sturdiness.
Others have mentioned that these magnets do nothing to neutralize bacteria or germs.  Again, this is not something that detergents do either.  Hot water, or bleach when necessary will take care of most of the germs.  You can also use a more natural solution that I cover below in the FAQ.
The MLS Magnetic Laundry System comes with a complete money-back guarantee and a lifetime warranty backed up by Water Liberty. These are built to last and if yours doesn’t then you’ll receive either a replacement or a refund.
But the magnets stay “stuck” (magnetized) to the walls, which are metal, so there’s no friction. And they don’t change the molecular structure of water (which would be scary), but the charge. I’m no expert, that’s why I had my sister and her family try it out! And with excellent results! Placebo effect? Could be, but she has a little boy who sure dirties things. Maybe I’ll have her try doing a load minus the magnets to see her thoughts. I’ll post back my her reaction to this experiment if she goes along with it.
Adams has also helped defend the rights of home gardeners and protect the medical freedom rights of parents. Adams is widely recognized to have made a remarkable global impact on issues like GMOs, vaccines, nutrition therapies, human consciousness.
The only thing missing is the one thing which Life Miracle could publish only if the product actually works: the results of rigorous laboratory tests showing that clothes washed with the magnets end up cleaner than clothes washed in nothing but water.

“Best Magnets For Laundry Cleaning laundry magnets scam”

It was really easy to use the magnetic system, and the box has a brochure inside with directions and information. The company recommends you use hot water and run a normal-sized load of laundry. I usually wash my clothes in cold water, so I was a little nervous about this step. I decided to go warm, and luckily, no colors bled!
The company does offer some performance data and a long list of “case studies”, but given the scientifically questionable “technology” they use, one would want to see some references to published articles in the reputable agricultural/soil science literature.
Contact whoever sold them to you and ask how to get a refund. Prepare to be stonewalled, but if you are persistent you will probably succeed. As a worst-case scenario you can dispute the credit-card charge.
For most other stains, soaking overnight in the following solution works well – start with the warmest water safe for the garment, add both OxyClean (or generic equivalent) along with a good degreasing dish soap. I’m partial to Dawn concentrated, the concentrated version of the original blue stuff. Adding dish soap seems to me to help on tough stains, even when grease or oil is not involved.
A: Yes. Honestly, nothing whitens like chlorine bleach, but there are potentially toxicity issues for the environment and health. Bleach is very harsh and damaging to your clothes as well. That said, if you don’t mind the trade-offs, you can still use diluted bleach with Magnetic Laundry System if you choose. A great alternative to chlorine bleach is oxygen bleach (like Oxiclean® and similar products) or diluted hydrogen peroxide. Borax is also an excellent natural laundry booster. Some Magnetic Laundry System owners add baking soda or white vinegar to their loads. The 3% hydrogen peroxide plus vinegar solution detailed above may be the most effective alternative method for this process.
This alignment changes what is called the “surface tension” of the water, causing it to be extremely reduced.  The “drops” of water become so small and minute, they can easily penetrate into the fabric.
You can visit this Web site for info on how to construct your own “liquid magnetizers”, where you learn that “This device can be used for the magnetization of any liquid that you can put in bottles, one bottle can be charged positively at the same time that the other bottle is charged negatively.
WaterLiberty comes with a 1-year satisfaction guarantee, even if completely used. In order to begin the refund process, you’ll need to contact customer service at 888-318-9445. Be sure to have your 9-digit Order ID on hand to expedite the process.
* ‘Mineral’ washing balls allegedly work by using these minerals and magnets to change the properties of the water. They increase the pH balance of the water, and break down the molecules, both of which help the water be absorbed by the material, and therefore it gets right in there to clean out any dirt. * Detergent washing balls contain a tiny amount of liquid soap.
At an atomic level, everything is affected by magnetics. All you need to do it try is for yourself and see the results with your own eyes. The Life Miracle ® Laundry System is patented and made with the highest quality materials. the system is engineered and built to give you many decades of effective service.
Laundry balls and such are mostly sold via direct marketing — catalog firms “multi level marketing” concerns. An MLM basically is a network of individuals who sell a product and at the same time try to recruit other sellers, in whose profits they share. I’m not saying every MLM is a racket. There are probably a few people who thought their timeshare condos were a good deal, too. But MLMs do seem to hawk more than their share of junk.
The physical process used to cause this change in crystalline structure is provided by the use of magnetic induction fields, which when exposed to moving water, interacts with the water’s electric dipole moment and applies a torque to the water molecule. The subsequent down stream effect of these coherently-oriented water molecules provides the electric potential which supplies the energy necessary to form the more complex crystalline form of calcium carbonate, called aragonite
Considering all of the very big claims made by WaterLiberty, can it really help return your water to a natural state, or is it just an expensive gimmick? Let’s just say there are a lot of unanswered questions surrounding WaterLiberty, some of which include:
We also carry an all – natural stain remover, called Enzymatic Stain Remover Concentrate®. It is made of enzymes – the proteins used to digest food in your stomach. Using the same concept, Enzymatic Stain Remover Concentrate® works by breaking down tough stain.
“Magnetic water and fuel treatment: myth, magic, or mainstream science?” This article, by Mike Powell, a chemical engineer, appeared in the Skeptical Enquirer 22(1) 27-31 1998. The author provides a few references, practically all to non-refereed journals and conference proceedings of dubious quality. Powell observes that “the utter lack of published data is revealing. According to the vendors, magnetic fuel treatment has been around for fifty years. If it actually worked as claimed, it seems likely that it would by now be commonplace. It is not.”
Magnets: I love them. I’ve studied for 30 years. the late Jessie Partridge got me started. so many aholes are naysayers. If you want more ask.  I saw magnet laundry balls a long time ago. I’m searching for some. I’m a big guy. tree trimming, a big limb hit my shinbone there was a knot as big as a yam. I limped in the house put a xtra strond magnet on it nagitive  side down got a big cold pack put that under magnet. it took pain pills lay down with the TV. 3 hours later help arrived (wife) she took everything off no sign of a bruise a little scraped skin, still hurt!  I didn’t think it would work that good. Partridge started using them in the 30’s He knew so much. The naysayers had a lot of bad thing to say about him.
“By ‘magnetizing’ or polarizing drinking water, those noxious ‘lumps’ will not build up,  and instead we see amorphous structures which are easily assimilated or discardable.  In addition to getting softer water, the water temporarily acquires new dissolving, anti-calcareous, relaxing and invigorating properties.
Magnets only attract Iron; Iron alloys– or other magnets. Magnets can be quite heavy and I doubt washing machine manufacturers envisioned consumers placing rubber coated magnets into their washing machines.
I struggled a bit with this one.  My husband’s gym clothes stink.  The magnet system works great for getting out all the dirt, and MOST of the time it gets the smells out too.  I found a nifty little trick though…
At its most basic though, WaterLiberty is claimed to activate the oxygen in water, which removes the carbon suspended between water molecules and breaks down carbon waste. In other words, WaterLiberty is claimed to make the contaminants inert, while keeping all the essential nutrients it contains in tact. On top of this, WaterLiberty claims to not only remove toxins from water, but to also neutralize substances with your body and make them harmless within 72 hours.
Or is it more likely that you’re too dimwitted to understand the proof that I and others have proven that these magnets are a scam? (The four spelling errors in four sentences, one of them a run-on, would seem to support that theory.)
The Life Miracle® Magnetic Laundry System works under a unique means of water maintenance through direct application of magnetic force. Water has long been known as the “universal solvent”. The Laundry System incorporates powerful, specially calibrated magnetism to help alter the basic nature of water and increase its natural solvency.

When it finished spinning, I was right there pulling out the towels and sticking my nose into them….NO SMELL….a “clean” smell – but not perfume….I was astonished and ended up sniffing almost every towel in that load….
It doesn’t say that it reduces hardness at all. It says “In conclusion, we have established that a magnetic field effect exists. Passing water through a magnetic field subsequently favours formation of aragonite rather then calcite in our experiments” where aragonite is a different crystalline structure of calcite. In particular, Table 1 specifically says that is no effect on Na, Mg, K and Ca, which are the dominant cations that make water “hard” – msw Jun 14 ’12 at 0:04
Dear Gloria, I’ve been trying to learn about using vinegar & 2 tsp of salt as a laundry detergent replacement, and haven’t found any studies. Your comment gives me hope – do you have any references, or information/websites I can show my family? Thanks heaps!
This was expressed to him in private, and now again publicly on his blog. Our money back guarantee is exactly that. A Guarantee that our customers can try the product in their own home and evaluate it for themselves to form their OWN opinion. If their opinion is that the product does not work as advertised, they will get their money back. This product is NOT, in any way shape or form, a “scam”. It is a product that was awarded two patents from the U.S. Patent Office that truly works and provides many benefits to the end user. We all have been using it for many years and have experienced outstanding results, as have thousands of others.
Hi everyone! I’ve recently read that magnets can be used instead of detergent for washing clothes. Has anyone ever tried it? I would be wonderful not having to continue dumping cleaning substances into wash water.
I’ve read the science that says it can’t work but this works for me it’s that simple. 9 months now I estimate over 200 washes and I won’t be buying any detergent again. Scientists have been wrong before …
I’ve tried them in both top and front load washers.  If you’re using a front load unit make sure to put them in some pants pockets or a pair of socks (one magnet in each).  This will keep you from going crazy when they bump against the door during the wash.
We had no trouble installing the pureWash and Wash It systems. But that’s where our positive experience ended. Following our usual laundry detergent test procedure, we loaded the two washers with test fabric swatches soiled with mud, blood, grass, chocolate, and the like. Instead of laundry detergent, pureWash and Wash It systems are supposed to get clothes clean by injecting ozone into the cold wash water. “Ozone is a powerful oxidant; it disinfects, deodorizes and sanitizes,” claims the Wash It web site. “Ozone kills micro-organisms found in soiled laundry (kills bacteria 3,000 times faster than bleach),” says pureWash.
“I have been using Adya Clarity for 3 months now. I add the drops to a jug of tap water at night and in the morning I can see tiny particles of all the yucky stuff that is in the tap water floating around the bottom of the jug. I love the taste of the water, I also clean my fruits and veggies with it. I give it to my plants and my pet. Here is a picture I took of the contaminants at the bottom of my glass after adding Adya Clarity.“
I was leary at first, but I tried them for a week. My husband drives a dump truck and gets dirty and stinky. Lo and behold, no dirt and NO STINK!! And talk about savings on detergent. It will pay for itself in about 1 1/2 months.
Is the author of this report seriously suggesting that any blood concentration of mercury which changes less than 200 ppm — WOW! — is sufficient to “establish consistency?” Does this person even know their way around the Table of Elements and blood chemistry?

“Purchase Magnetic Scam For Laundry Review laundry magnets scam”

We came to a solid conclusion: When it comes to stain removal, Crystal Wash does not work any better than hot water. And, when it comes to some important stains, Crystal Wash often works far worse than laundry detergent.
Another option is to pre-soak your clothes or to use a stain removal pre-treatment.  I’ve tried all three.  For really tough stains I typically fall back to a spot treatment before washing.  But I’ve gotten butter, oil, grease, and dirt out using just the magnets.  Pretty impressive.
For blood stains, especially ones that are set in, soaking overnight in peroxide can work wonders. Test for color fastness, as peroxide can fade or even bleach some fabrics. Follow with a stain pre-treatment (I like Shout).
One of the very few reliable reports of the therapeutic use of magnetic fields was published in 2007. “A recent study by University of Virginia researchers demonstrates that the use of an acute, localized static magnetic field of moderate strength can result in significant reduction of swelling when applied immediately after an inflammatory injury.” [link]

There is apparently no consensus among magnet vendors regarding the mechanisms by which magnetic water treatment occurs. A variety of explanations are offered, most of which involve plenty of jargon but little substance. Few vendors, if any, offer reasonable technical explanations of how magnetic water treatment is supposed to work.
Wish I knew this didn’t have handles on it when I bought it because it is a hefty thing to carry around. It is, however, very well built and sturdy. I don’t recommend buying this if your washer/dryer is a fair distance away from where you keep your hamper. Lucky for me I was able to add my own handlez to this with the help of a hot glue gun. Now that it has handles I love it!
Unfortunately most of the other solutions I came across required me to mix my own homemade solution of things like borax (not the Dr Seuss character.  That’s a Lorax), washing soda, and some sort of soap.  All well and good but I am terrible about remembering to buy laundry detergent on it’s own, the last thing I need is a LIST of things to buy that I then have to mix at home.
It’s understandable that there’s a demand for laundry cleaner that doesn’t use as many harsh chemicals as detergent. However, each of those chemicals serves a specific purpose in removing stains—especially when it comes to stains like sweat. And although Crystal Wash has none of the chemicals of regular detergent, it has none of the efficacy either. There were high hopes for Crystal Wash as it raised over $250,000 on its Kickstarter, so it’s a bit of a bummer that it fails at one of the basic tasks of doing laundry.
Preparing your smoothie the night before is a great way to keep on a schedule and also have less work to do when you’re tired in the morning. Put the ingredients in a cup with lid and store in freezer over night.
“The technology exploits quantum electrodynamic processes to transfer energy into the water passing through the unit. As a result, potential energy stored within the water is significantly enhanced. When that water hits the soil, the stored potential energy is released, opening up soils and improving infiltration and percolation of water.” [link]
For the year following its Kickstarter, CrystalWash had been markedly silent about any progress with the 2.0 system outside of its app and the addition of a “CrystalWash Pledge” site where crowdfunding could continue and more preorders could be taken. Since March, its only appearances in the press were a July 2015 article in Eco Friend that simply repeats the information in the Kickstarter campaign, August 2015 article in Green that does the same (It should be noted that both Eco Friend and Green Diary are run by the same person, but that is probably just a coincidence. Probably), and a spot on Gizmodo’s “The 9 Most Disgraceful Crowdfunding Failures of 2015”.[8]
None of these claims has any scientific basis and none has any credible experimental support. There is no scientific evidence that hydrocarbon (fuel) molecules can be modified in any way by application of a magnetic field.
I ordered magnets, never saw them !!! as a bonus offer I directed delivery to my 75yr. Old mother. The second set at $10 cheaper. The package was supposed to contain 2 magnets for washing clothes. Instead it was something like tennis balls. For $50 plus to return was a nightmare with customer service. My origional order was out of stock they claimed , but charged me for it ahead of time. I waited over 2 months , when it finally arrived I had already demanded my refund / so I …returned it unopened ! Not wanting to waste time with customer service again. My mom shipped me the gift I sent her to send back at a cost of $15 , then I shipped it back at $15 so post office made $45 on this product offer of buy second set at a discount….they substituted another product to send my mom, causing total confusion & long distance to explain to her. My refund took another 30 days from my cancellation ! They use your money people !!!
A. Yes. Honestly, nothing whitens like chlorine bleach, but there are few chemicals that are more toxic for the environment and health. Bleach is very harsh and damaging to you clothes as well. That said, if you don’t mind the tradeoffs, you can still use diluted bleach with Life Miracle Laundry System® if you choose. A great alternative to chlorine bleach is oxygen bleach (like Oxyclean® and similar products). Borax is also an excellent natural laundry booster. Some laundry system owners add baking soda or white vinegar to their loads.

Typically, vendors claim that either mileage or horsepower will be improved by about 10 to 20 percent. They also claim that if no improvement in mileage is noted, then the improvement must have come in the form of more horsepower. This, of course, makes it difficult for consumers to determine whether their magnetic fuel treatment devices really are working.
One of the principal drawbacks of ion-exchange water softeners is the need to periodically recharge the ion exchange beads with sodium ions. Rock salt is added to a reservoir in the softener for this purpose.

I can not handle the dyes and perfumes in detergents so, I use ECOS from Earth Friendly Products, Addison, IL 60101 1.630.595.1900; call from 9-3 CT/ M-F. efpclean.com and ecos.com sold at Walmart. The other one I buy is homesolv from citrasolv, Danbury, CT 06813-2597 1.800.343.6588; http://www.citrasolv.com. I also use vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda detergents such as Arm and Hammer. I react terribly to chemicals; anytime I come in contact with them I can taste them for anywhere between 1/2 a day to 2 days and I don’t wash with them because I itch so much. I urge everyone not to buy the magnets until they have actual evidence confirming their results. In the mean time try searching for detergents derived from plants.
The hard numbers show that the store-bought detergent did 4 percent better across the board at stain removal than Crystal Wash. Crystal Wash performed about the same as hot water, and from these results we can conclude that Crystal Wash had a negligible effect on stain removal.
Taking the most optimistic reports into account, it seems clear that the rather small magnitude of these effects makes them unlikely to be of significance in most practical applications. So until I see something that is more definitive, my own position is that

Water does have a high surface tension, but this is not what causes water to “stick together”; both effects have their origin in the intermolecular hydrogen bonding (described above.) Surface tension is the work required to expand the area of the surface. The lower the surface tension, the more readily will a liquid penetrate narrow spaces as in a fabric.
Although magnetically influencing water is a concept somewhat “out of the mainstream” (our patents were some of the first in the field) there has been scientific precedence to support the theory. Although it is fair to challenge theories that are new, different and out of the mainstream, it is exceedingly unfair to call them a “scam”.
FYI… I havent tried these magnetic balls yet, but, it’s extremely difficult for me to accept “naysayer” credibility when the naysayers website is sponsored by traditional laundry detergent companies. NEXT.
One major vendor warns of the supposed dangers of conventional detergents (they are, after all, “petrochemicals”!) One of their pages provides links to a report from an outside testing lab that, if genuine, gives all appearances of itself having been “laundered” in that no comparisons of the effectiveness of their magnetic balls are made with non-magnetic balls (or even with rocks!), or with conventional detergents.
Although one purpose of detergents is to reduce the surface tension of water so as to encourage it to spread evenly over a surface instead of forming droplets, the primary role of a detergent is to “solubilize” small particles of grease-like “dirt”. Detergent molecules tend to be long chains that possess water-soluble properties on one end, and water-insoluble (oil-like) properties on the other end. Operating on the principle that “like dissolves like”, the water-insoluble ends tend to embed themselves in the dirt particles so that the water-soluble ends stick out, disguising the particle as water-soluble and enabling it to be washed away. I am not aware that any claims that magnets can serve this function.

Frankly, I am so tired of Amazon asking for reviews that I never do them anymore. But, these darn work just like they claim and even if I was not going to be saving a lot of money, I now really like that idea of clean clothes that smell like nothing at all except fresh water. This product deserved this review.
The product works by affecting the water in the same way laundry detergent does. Clothes come out clean and without the smell many detergents leave on them. The sent laundry detergent leaves on clothes comes from chemical additives in the laundry soap.
Numerous sites promote magnet-based technologies for improving crop production, many based on the easily-disproved fiction that magnets can reduce the surface tension of water (see the stuff on magnetic laundry balls above.) One magnet merchant makes similarly extravagant (and to me, unbelievable) claims about how their misleadingly-named “single pole technology” magnets can greatly increase crop yields, cut water use and fertilizer costs. The site provides many “comparison” photographs, “testimonials”, and mentions of “studies” too vaguely identified to allow verification. As expected, there are no references to supporting documents in the reputable agricultural or scientific literature. Statements such as
These items in the box were brand new, and the urine had been on them since appx December (so 4-5 months back). I thought, this will be the acid test for these magnets. Well, there was one sock on top which got the brunt of the stain and the smell. That stain was a dark orange color it had been dried on there so long. The stain came out. All the socks had no stains now… (they were all packaged together, stacked)…. however the top one still had a faint odor. I re-washed it and it came out odor-free. Now THAT is a test to pass for sure….(note to everyone: anything I can clean and get back to the lady, I am doing it – so these socks are going back to her house after the major cleanup is done).
I do wish that bloggers had more control over the advertisements that get published on their site. But, sadly, it usually is out of their hands. If you are against oil companies, but blog about them and accept advertising, you might have ads show up for Shell. That’s just the way it works – very unfortunately.
The company does offer some performance data and a long list of “case studies”, but given the scientifically questionable “technology” they use, one would want to see some references to published articles in the reputable agricultural/soil science literature.
A.  Since the MLS may be a new concept to you, we take all risk out of trying the product and comparing it to your favorite laundry detergent. And once you’ve tried the product and love it, we also guarantee the quality of the product with the limited lifetime warranty, and still give it to you at a very reasonable price.
Shipping was super fast! Great service and super fast checkout! The item was a bit bigger than I expected but I didn’t take the time to measure my space vs. the size of the hamper. It’s great quality and I found a spot for it. It is a big hamper and it does indeed fit about 4 loads of laundry which is awesome! Thanks!
Their page also has a big “no-chemicals”-sign at the top. But then goes on and on about cleaning clothes with hydrogen peroxide. Apparently the scientific community is in error calling H2O2 a chemical compound.

A 1960 survey of municipal water supplies in one hundred U.S. cities revealed that water hardness ranged from 0 to 738 ppm with a median of 90 ppm (see Singley 1984). Ion-exchange water softeners are capable of reducing the hardness of the incoming water supply to between 0 and 2 ppm, which is well below the levels where scale and soap precipitation are significant.
“How does the laundry solution [U.S. $75] work? It is structured water that emits far-infrared electro magnetic waves through the walls of the container into your laundry water. This causes the water molecule cluster to disassociate….”
Many homeowners and businesses use water softeners to avoid the problems that result from hard water. Most water softeners remove problematic dissolved magnesium and calcium by passing water through a bed of “ion-exchange” beads. The beads are initially contacted with a concentrated salt (sodium chloride) solution to saturate the bead exchange sites with sodium ions. These ion-exchange sites have a greater affinity for calcium and magnesium, so when hard water is passed through the beads the calcium and magnesium ions are captured and sodium is released. The end result is that the calcium and magnesium ions in the hard water are replaced by sodium ions. Sodium salts do not readily form scale or soap scum, so the problems associated with hard water are avoided.
Other readers pointed out numerous explanations for the fact that, in our tests, laundry balls seemed to work as well as regular detergent: (1) laundry often contains a lot of residual detergent from earlier washings; (2) the stain remover often recommended for use with laundry balls itself contains detergent; and (3) the laundry ball may work by mechanical action — the equivalent of beating clothes on a rock. And of course you can’t discount good old wishful thinking, which one suspects was a factor in the glowing evaluation by David Harris above.
Some researchers hypothesize that magnetic treatment affects the nature of hydrogen bonds between water molecules. They report changes in water properties such as light absorbance, surface tension, and pH (e.g., Joshi and Kamat 1966; Bruns et al. 1966; Klassen 1981). However, these effects have not always been found by later investigators (Mirumyants et al. 1972). Further, the characteristic relaxation time of hydrogen bonds between water molecules is estimated to be much too fast and the applied magnetic field strengths much too small for any such lasting effects, so it is unlikely that magnetic water treatment affects water molecules (Lipus et al. 1994).

“Buy Magnets For Laundry Cleaning Review laundry magnets”

The difference is that detergents do it with harsh chemicals that are not good for your body or the environment.  The MLS system does it by working with the natural magnetic properties of water molecules.

There is a long history of the promotion of magnets to alleviate the “hardness” of mineral-containing waters, and particularly to control the deposition of scale in teapots, plumbing systems, evaporators, and boilers. There are now a large variety of devices on the market that claim to reduce scale deposition, and some claim to “soften” the water as well. The earlier devices mostly employed permanent magnets, but many now use alternating magnetic or electrostatic fields. The magnetic field surrounds the pipe at some point and penetrates it from all sides. This obviously limits its use to non-ferrous pipes such as copper or plastic.

Manufacturers rarely agree on why their laundry balls work, hinting that these claims are just made up by each individual manufacturer.[3][11] Some claims are not backed by science, while others are an exaggeration of benefits.[2] Balls that detergents may offer more cleaning power than water alone because their ingredients are comparable to normal washing powder, but in smaller quantities. It is claimed that conventional washing powder manufacturers recommend using more powder than is necessary, and that these powders contain unnecessary fillers or fragrances.[4]

Another extremely effective natural alternative is a 5 percent solution of vinegar—which you can often find in the supermarket. Reports have shown that it kills 99% of bacteria, 82% of mold, and 80% of germs.  Not bad.

First of all, we need to dispel a commonly held myth, the myth that laundry detergents are natural soaps. You need to know that you are not washing your clothes with soaps, and you probably never have in your lifetime. Detergents are not soaps. They are actually petrochemicals derived from crude oil. Water is the universal solvent. Water is what ultimately cleans your clothes whether you use laundry detergents, or the Magnetic Laundry System. All these products do is help water to clean better.

It is laughable that you accuse me of making personal attacks, when it was you who made this personal in your private emails to me. You appealed to things that you and I supposedly have in common, things which are completely irrelevant to the question of whether your product works, in an effort to garner sympathy. Then, when it became clear that it was not going to work, you got nasty and suggested that I must have been paid off by a laundry detergent company to post my blog entry about your product.

Some manufacturers claim that the components inside their balls emit far infrared rays, which are claimed to reduce the surface tension of water and facilitate washing.[8] The claim of emitting infrared is not false, as almost all materials emit “far infrared waves” at room temperature, in other words, heat radiation.[4] It is also true that heating reduces the surface tension of water, but the effect of the radiation emitted by the balls is negligible compared to the radiation emitted by the internal walls of the washing machine or by the water, especially if it’s hot water.[4]

A good example of the kind of crackpot pseudoscience that some vendors employ to hawk their wares to a credulous public is illustrated by these quotes from a site which offers the following misinformation:

what I got out of the whole video…is that nothing get the stains out….and detergent doesn’t get your clothes clean either…that’s why they use optical enhancers. To make u think our clothes are cleaner. Why don’t they have to list ingredients?

I don’t know why I’m taking the time to respond, but have you actually read my blog postings? I ask this, because if you had you would have seen that I did, in fact, “use the magnets,” and I did, in fact, prove through my experiments that clothes washed with the magnets come out no cleaner than clothes washed in plain water.

As mentioned earlier, the Water Liberty Magnetic System lasts for years – a lifetime actually. This patented technology comes with a limited lifetime warranty and if you are dissatisfied with the product for any reason, then you can tap into the unconditional money back guarantee for a full refund.

Manufacturers of MWT devices commonly offer simplistic or scientifically untenable explanations of how these devices work, giving the consumer who knows some chemistry little confidence in those who promote the product.

On top of this, WaterLiberty claims to not only remove toxins from water, but to also neutralize substances with your body and make them harmless within 72 hours.

jlk, jlk, JLK!!! Thank you so much for this blog post — and you ARE hysterically funny — my problem is NOT!! I just received my “magic blue balls” in the mail today. (Ugh, gross; I fell for that??) I honestly think I ordered them online at the vulnerable hour of 4 a.m. (after being entranced by those two women talking waaay too much). Anyway — I have *no idea* how long ago I bought them — and I have a very good memory. You have argued clearly and convincingly that they are useless. As others have mentioned above, they come with no invoice, contact info, phone number — nothing. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RETURN THEM???

These waters contain the “hardness ions” (mainly Ca2+, Mg2+, and bicarbonate ion HCO3–) in solution, often at concentrations that chemists term supersaturated, meaning that various disturbances (microscopic protuberances on the container surface, or the presence of suitable “seed” particles) will cause these ions to precipitate as carbonates, typically CaCO3 and MgCO3 (solid bicarbonates of these metals do not exist.) These carbonates, unlike most salts, have solubilities that decrease at higher temperatures, so they tend to selectively deposit out on heat-exchanger surfaces such as boiler tubes.

*UPDATE 3/2/16* Please see comment in the comment section below for the complete update. In short, still using this, still loving it, but there have been a few items it did not work on. Most of the permanent magnet devices employ a sequence of magnets, arranged so that the water passes alternately through magnetized and non-magnetized regions. This is probably based on the experiments of Kronenberg (see below) who found that a sequence of magnets was more effective. The alternating-current devices can presumably duplicate this effect with a single coil as shown at the right. Most of these use a frequency in the 100-1000 hz region. Some excite the coil with square waves rather than with sine waves in the apparent hope that of the large number of frequency components so generated, some will be more effective than others.
