“Buy Magnetic Laundry Soap Reviews laundry magnets scam”

Several manufacturers offer juice-producing machines that incorporate magnets, which they variously claim, without any supporting evidence, to mellow the taste [link], to enhance the stability of the juice [link], or generally to maintain the freshness of fruit and vega table juices. A typical false claim is that the magnets
I was very excited when I heard about The Patented Magnetic Laundry System.  The website says that they can be used without detergent to get clean laundry with out the chemicals!  This I had to try!!!
It sounds simple and it is, however simply waving a magnet over a cup of water will not create a cup of cleaner.  Researchers found that the position and strength of the magnets, as well as the size of the magnetic field is critically important. Their efforts led to the development of the Magnetic Laundry System, a virtually indestructible water restructuring system, that lasts a lifetime.

Is there any rationale that the magnets can actually do something? Water is diamagnetic, which means that it will be repelled by a magnet. But the effect is very, very, small. If a vial of water is placed on a piece of floating Styrofoam and a strong magnet is brought close, it will slowly move away from the magnet. An interesting phenomenon, but nothing to do with cleaning ability. But there is something about the advertising for the laundry disks that is not contestable. They are guaranteed to last for fifty years, a guarantee that is indeed safe since magnets do not rot. That is more than what can be said about the claims of their miraculous cleaning properties.
I have just used two magnets that I found lying around my house.one large, messaures 2 1/2 inches, just over 6 cos and weighs 340 ,then two smaller ones  to try and match the bigger one in strength. The washing appears clean and fresh.however the large magnet fell off the side wall of the machine,I stopped my machine and put it into a buttoned up pocket of a shirt. This had a bad effect as it has pitted the pocket.  I also had to separate the magnets at some stage as one of the smaller magnets had stuck to the big one, before I put it into the pocket! Does that happen with the commercial magnets you buy and is it OK to leave them stuck together? I did try to buy the magnets on line, but like so many things ,products, no one ships to Namibia!!
Normally I wouldn’t even give something as boring as laundry detergent a second thought.  Whatever detergent is cheapest is what I’m going to buy.  But after reading a post from a holistic-minded friend of mine about the chemicals in many of today’s name-brand detergents got me thinking about alternatives.
Can MWT control scale deposition? Does it really soften the water? One might think that the question of whether magnetic water treatment is effective would by now have long been settled by scientific and engineering studies, but this is unfortunately not the case.
I also found another site selling the product that say it’s fabulous. I tend to ignore those if it isn’t the kind where any user can post their comments and it wasn’t. For all I know, the staff wrote the reviews.
The usual schtick is that the molecules of gasoline and similar fuels are “clustered” together, and a magnet inserted in the fuel line will break up these aggregates, thereby allowing more even and efficient combustion. This is not only supposed to save fuel, but it also reduces the buildup of carbon in the cylinders and reduces pollution. Other hucksters offer devices that purport to use “far infrared technology” to achieve the same purposes. A 1998 review found virtually no convincing evidence for the efficacy of magnetic fuel treatment.
But now to the practical test, which was conducted by my assistant Jane. (You may think it sexist that she got stuck doing the laundry, but she volunteered.) She stained various items of clothing with ketchup, chocolate, ink, grass, and “some of the purple dye I use for my hair.” That Jane! She washed three batches, one with three laundry disks from Real Goods, one with Tide, one in plain water. As advised, she used a pre-wash stain treatment on all the batches. Result: little difference among the three except that the disks did better getting rid of the grass stain. “Hm,” said Jane.

The hard numbers show that the store-bought detergent did 4 percent better across the board at stain removal than Crystal Wash. Crystal Wash performed about the same as hot water, and from these results we can conclude that Crystal Wash had a negligible effect on stain removal.
Water can be “magnetized” In order to become “magnetized”, a molecule must not only be paramagnetic (contain an unpaired electron), but groups of molecules must be able to align themselves into local regions (“domains”) that amplify the effect and retain their orientation for a long time. The effect is known as “ferromagnetism” and as far as I know has only been observed in solids, the most well known, of course, being metallic iron.

I ordered the Nanotowels and couldn’t be more impressed. With just water, they clean everything, greasy pans, stove tops etc. No toxic chemicals, just water. They are amazing. We also bought their …water filter for the office and the water now tastes great and we aren’t using as many plastic bottles. No chlorine taste at all. I haven’t had any trouble with the company and love their products that I’ve tried. See More

Normal tap water has a pH level of about 7, whereas magnetized water can reach 7.8 pH after exposure to a 7000 gauss strength magnet for a long period of time. Cancer cells do not survive well in an alkaline environment.

As we need water and not chemicals to clean the clothes, Magnetic Laundry System does something with the water that cleans your clothes. When the water rotates in the tub with the highly magnetic molecules, it cleans faster and better than any other detergent.
There are very few scientifically validated reports of successful MWT installations in the mainstream scientific and engineering literature. Given the potential economic benefits of a widely-applicable chemical-free softening process, especially in arid regions such as the U.S. southwest, one would expect a lot more scientific and engineering support.
The H2O molecule is an electrical dipole, not a magnetic one; it is not a magnet, and is not attracted by a magnet. Equating the S and N poles of a magnet with the [electrical] “potential” is pure fantasy.
If you know that it may in fact be “just the water” that’s cleaning your clothes, which is indeed the whole point of my exposé of the Magnet Laundry System, then why would you be “happy to use the laundry magnets”? Why would you be happy to pay for something you don’t actually need? Why not just wash in plain water and not waste your money on the magnets?
But on sweat stains, detergent did a whopping 14 percent better at cleaning than Crystal Wash or water. This is, in our opinion, Crystal Wash’s greatest failing: Since clothes are worn by people, they almost always get sweat stains. Unless you’re okay with wearing dingy shirts with yellowed armpits, you should stick with detergent.
The Laundry Solution, a 21ST Century technology, promises to free us from environmentally-damaging and harsh laundry detergents. Laundry Balls are non-polluting, non-toxic, hypo-allergenic, color-safe, convenient, economical, do not promote static cling and will not damage fabrics. Independent investigation reveals that they are so benign as to be virtually inert. But it’s hard to dismiss the reports of strong customer satisfaction.
One thing I will add, Jonathan, is that the power of the petrochem manufacturer’s and their ownership of the appliance manufacturing companies could, in fact, keep a working technology such as this out of the marketplace. The allure of the millions they make selling us petroleum-derived detergents is too much.

“Best Magnetic Laundry System Arizona laundry magnets work”

For someone living in a one bedroom apartment, I had the challenge of finding some sort of laundry solution that wasn’t unsightly–or that would break the budget. I wasn’t able to afford some of the larger wooden hinged hampers, and honestly they were a bit cumbersome. This was the perfect solution–the two bottom compartments zipper diagonally to expand, and unzipped to fold up seamlessly. I own two, and them popped up at all times, and they look great in my room. Would buy again, but these seem sturdy enough to last the test of time anyway!

If particles are actually precipitated, it should be possible to observe them, either by direct collection in a micropore filter or indirectly by light-scattering methods (nephthelometry), but there are no apparent reports of this.
A good example of the kind of crackpot pseudoscience that some vendors employ to hawk their wares to a credulous public is illustrated by these quotes from a site which offers the following misinformation:
The MLS Magnetic Laundry System saves you money, helps the environment, cuts down on the amount of water you use, and is great for your health. You typically don’t need to put your clothes through a rinse cycle with the Magnetic Laundry System because there are no extra chemicals you need to rinse out. Cutting out this rinse cycle can save up to 40 gallons of water, the electricity it would take to run the cycle, and the gas used to heat the water. You also save money on softeners and static cling removers given that it is the chemicals that make your clothes stiff in the first place. Magnetic laundry systems are good for the environment because they completely cut out petrochemicals and other chemicals that your clothes would otherwise release into the atmosphere.
A 1960 survey of municipal water supplies in one hundred U.S. cities revealed that water hardness ranged from 0 to 738 ppm with a median of 90 ppm (see Singley 1984). Ion-exchange water softeners are capable of reducing the hardness of the incoming water supply to between 0 and 2 ppm, which is well below the levels where scale and soap precipitation are significant.
In contrast to the testimonials common to NCD [non-chemical devices] marketing literature, the many controlled studies undertaken by various government and industrial organizations have resulted in a consensus opinion that NCD are not capable of producing the effects claimed in the literature. In general, the theories advanced by the NCD suppliers to explain operation of their devices show a lack of agreement with accepted scientific principles. In spite of an extensive history of installation failures, findings of no effect in controlled studies, and no acceptable theory of operation; new NCD are accepted in the market on a routine basis, often obtaining significant sales before the inevitable disasters result in that particular device being discredited.
Water “hardness” is a measure of dissolved mineral content. As water seeps through soil and aquifers, it often contacts minerals such as limestone and dolomite. Under the right conditions, small amounts of these minerals will dissolve in the ground water and the water will become “hard.” Water hardness is quantified by the concentration of dissolved hardness minerals. The most common hardness minerals are carbonates and sulfates of magnesium and calcium. Water with a total hardness mineral concentration of less than about 17 parts per million (ppm) is categorized as “soft” by the Water Quality Association (Harrison 1993). “Moderately hard” water has a concentration of 60 to 120 ppm. “Very hard” water exceeds 180 ppm.
You will never need to buy another set of Laundry System units because they operate from a renewable, permanent magnetic source. Laundry detergents work to clean your clothes, but are non-renewable and may create health and environmental risks by potentially poisonous chemical by-products. The Laundry System is not only renewable for your laundry, but for your pocketbook as well. No more wasting money on detergents month after month, year after year. The laundry balls are also extremely convenient and easy to transport to the laundromat.
My sister and I inadvertently found out about the “most people use too much soap” thing in a round-about way. We noticed that when we go shopping and buy the exact same clothing item, wear it once, wash it, then wear it again-hers is considerably more faded and beat-up looking than mine, which looks new but a little less crisp. This happened w/quite a few clothing items and always hers became completely worn out within a few months, while I was still wearing mine years later. She finally got frustrated and asked me what I was doing differently, we compared our laundry routines and noted: she was using Gain laundry detergent (1 of the most chemical-filled brands), filling the cup to the suggested line and drying on medium or high heat with a scented conventional dryer sheet. I was using all-natural laundry detergent (coconut-derived surfactants, no dyes no chemical fragrances only real lavender oil), pouring about a tablespoon for small loads and 2-3 for large/super loads (I’d say less than 1/3 of each suggested fill line), putting heavy fabrics through an extra rinse cycle and drying on medium or high heat with free & clear dryer sheets. I took her clothes and put them in the washer with just water, no soap-it bubbled considerably and smelled like the laundry soap. After the cycle ended, the colors on the clothes were much brighter. So apparently the colors didn’t run or fade, they were just covered in a soap film which dulled them.

Hi there, I just received an email from a friend about these magnets and the first thing that happened was that my BS radar went through the roof. I went straight to Google and found you straight away. Thank you very much for the article and follow-up on the magnets. I fear I have just burst my friend’s balloon by sending your findings on to her. I love your logic about manufacturers – makes perfect sense that they would have stuck magnets in machines decades ago if they worked. I only ever use half (or less) of the recommended detergent, I give an extra rinse and I use vinegar in that rinse. My clothes are always clean and last for years. I also, like one lady in another post, use Dawn or similar to treat spots and stains. Thanks again 🙂
According to the brand, a package of two units of the laundry system can be used for many years and aside from saving you the hassle of having to buy detergent, it can save you a great deal of money as well. The system also does not use any chemicals or harmful compounds to provide you with results. As the brand explains, with this product, you no longer need to rely upon harmful formulas that contain common ingredients such as pesticides, imitation estrogen, and other toxins. Research shows that these toxins not only lead to harm over the long term, but they are not good for your clothes either.
I made a bogus-bingo a few years back. Added words like “atomic level”, “Universal cure”, “basic nature of” and several other dreadful attempts at mimicking a scientific jargon. I’m fairly sure I’d be shouting “BINGO” after about half a page of this. I’m almost surprised they didn’t add “quantum level” anywhere in the text 😉
Another extremely effective natural alternative is a 5 percent solution of vinegar—which you can often find in the supermarket. Reports have shown that it kills 99% of bacteria, 82% of mold, and 80% of germs.  Not bad.
Rather, the questions at hand are (a) do wimpy magnets like the ones you sell “influence water” in any significant way, and (b) does whatever “influence” they have on the water actually have any impact on the water’s ability to clean clothes?
When gasoline remains in your tank for a while, the fuel molecules start to cluster. The molecules on the inside of these clusters can’t be exposed to the oxygen necessary for combustion. The result: Incomplete fuel burn with the unburned molecules emitted as pollution or remaining inside your engine as damaging carbon/varnish deposits.
For everyone who prefers to save money, or has laundry washing cleaning agent allergic reactions, or merely wishes to help save the natural environment, our magnetic laundry detergent substitute is for you. Completely reusable and environmentally friendly, our magnetic laundry system is one of the most impressive washing powder substitutes available in the market right now – no surprise it was awarded numerous US Patents!
The power of multilevel marketing has led to an amazing proliferation of “structured water” products whose profit margins must be absolutely breathtaking. Onesource Worldwide Network, for instance, puts forth the bold claim (and probably a different claim than it makes to the IRS), that in “nine short months” it has “paid out an unprecedented $6.7 million in commissions” on “more than $84 million in product.” The sidebar to the right lists only a select sample of cyberhucksters; hit the search engines for more.
That depends on your definition of “clean” and “bright”.  When comparing the usage of the Magnetic Laundry System with laundry detergent, you need to factor in a few things…  We define clean as chemical-free, non-harmful to the wearer and non-toxic to the environment, in addition to being optically acceptable.  But only you, the user and owner of the product can determine that.
Soil Eradicator sold separately, is our citrus enzyme alternative to chemical stain removers like Spray-n-Wash.is an inexpensive, natural and chemical-free way to remove stains. To replace detergent, you need only the magnets. Soil Eradicator is an enhancement that is only beneficial or useful to remove difficult stains. That said however, you might find it worthwhile (as I do) to add an ounce of Soil Eradicator to every wash for an extra measure of cleaning and natural stain removal.
I am also taking steps to communicate to this distributor so it never happens to another customer. If it does, their ability to sell our product will be jeopardized. Period. Our customers deserve our complete honor and respect.

For those of us who live in apartment buildings with community laundry or who trek to the laundromat each week, this process has very few perks. The one thing I count on is being able to do all the loads of laundry I need at one time. Because I only purchased one set of magnets, I was glad I still had regular detergent on hand for the two other loads of laundry I started at the same time. It would get very pricey to purchase multiple sets!

Still, there is no scientific consensus about the mechanism of how MWT might work. This is not surprising; the entire process by which ions form precipitation nuclei is poorly understood. “Bare” ions do not exist in solution, but are protected by a hydration shell of loosely-attached water molecules and surrounded by an electric double layer of counter-ions. They do not simply come together to form precipitates. My best guess, based on the most recent literature, is that applied magnetic and electric fields might distort the double-layer in such a way as to promote nuclei formation, particularly if certain other ions or dissolved substances are present.

“In my experience, my clients who are using the Vitalizer Plus are able to move through their health problems more quickly – sometimes reducing other supplements – simply because the water supports greater metabolic efficiency. For more than fifty years, detergent makers have been collecting your money for toxic chemicals that aren’t as good at doing what our Magnetic Laundry System can do without the use or purchase of any chemicals. Detergent chemicals simply change the molecular structure of water so that it becomes “wetter” since they also know that lowering the surface tension ofthe water, allows it to clean better.

I bought some for myself & some as a Christmas present. At first I was happy. Now after 5-6 uses I can see my whites are grubby & the stains are not removed. I agree it’s a scam. How do I return them?

The second wash I did was of 2 brand new bras that I’d had sitting around for awhile cause I ran out of my natural detergent, and stopped using the green wash ball because it was making holes in my clothes. I put the bras in a mesh bag, turned the water to cold, and extra low. Because the water was on extra low, I put the magnets on the very bottom of the washing machine basin. One on each side of the agitator. I was nervous……I just knew I was going to have to wash those bras at least a few times. Boy was I wrong!!! They came out smelling like it does just after it rains! CLEAN! That is it! I couldn’t believe it. I can’t believe it. I’m still in pure amazement! I know this must sound crazy, but if you don’t have mcs maybe it’s hard to understand how one can get so excited over something so simple……….I just can’t begin to describe how miraculous this is! lol Who gets excited to wash clothes??? I do now! I can’t wait to go to the thrift store, and buy something to throw in there, cause they always reek of scented detergents so bad, that sometimes I wash them 10 or more times, and still don’t get the detergent smells out. That’s A LOT of wasted water, electricity, and time, not to mention expensive natural products I use to try to eliminate the smells.

At its most basic though, WaterLiberty is claimed to activate the oxygen in water, which removes the carbon suspended between water molecules and breaks down carbon waste. In other words, WaterLiberty is claimed to make the contaminants inert, while keeping all the essential nutrients it contains in tact. On top of this, WaterLiberty to not only remove toxins from water, but to also neutralize substances with your body and make them harmless within 72 hours.

Lastly, something i have noticed whilst researching “too good to be true” products (just a little tip for not getting scammed) – if you read “review” blogs/pages, and the English is a little…”off” there’s a good chance it’s fake. Go back and read some of the review pages about these magnets, and you may notice it too!

Though I was at first VERY skeptical about the magnet laundry system, I’d have to say I’m now a believer.  While I still have to use stain removers, and occasionally bleach, I never use laundry detergent anymore.  It has saved us money, and our clothes smell as good as ever.

As I’ve already explained here the ads on my blog are selected by Google AdSense based on the keywords in my blog postings, and I have no control over the ad selection. It is entirely unsurprising that AdSense would automatically display laundry detergent ads on a blog posting about laundry detergent.

The clothes and sheets I tested all seemed to be clean after the wash cycle, including a white pillowcase that had some leftover mascara smudged on it (ladies, you know the struggle). It was a bummer that the laundry didn’t smell fresh, but then I reminded myself the fresh smell I’m used to isn’t exactly right out of nature. So unless I start seeing a problem, or my friends stage an intervention, I’m going to assume my clothes are clean enough. Especially since I already have $75 into this new laundry system.

Most descriptions of MWT don’t claim to remove the hardness ions from the water (as conventional ion-exchange softeners do). Most commonly the lime scale solids are said to either deposit in a loosely adherent flake-like form, or to precipitate as small particles within the water itself instead of on metal surfaces. In either case, the precipitated material is carried along with the water.

I was skeptical about the “magnetic process” that the company claims, and had no luck finding a convincing or legitimate answer to my queries, just a lot of repetition about “surface tension of water” without any correlation between disrupting the tension, and HOW that would aid in cleaning laundry.

The company recommends a procedure to clean out the washer before the first use of their product. The procedure will remove soap scum and mineral buildup… This could account for any repeatable observations of “brightness” the first time the product is used.

Yes, the initial purchase stings. I purchased the MLS from Water Liberty. It cost $69.99 for the starter pack of two magnets, plus $5.99 for shipping. However, MLS offers a limited lifetime warranty, and claims your family might save $500 per year if you stop buying detergent from the store. A total of $75 for laundry for the rest of my life, or even just the next five years? SOLD.

Suffering from back pain, insomnia, kidney stones, or any of about a dozen common ailments? It may be due to “pollution of your body by stray alternating current-induced magnetic fields.” If so, you need a {magnetic mattress} whose built-in permanent magnets provide healing “natural” (“direct current”) fields. Replete with results of “scientific” studies [unpublished, of course!] citing such gems as “62.35 – 98.94%” effectiveness rating (at “99% confidence level”) for relief of back pain. (It’s hard to get a laugh out of a class when I am discussing statistical treatment of data, but this should do the trick!)

2. The activated ceramics also emit “far infrared electromagnetic waves” which cause water molecule clusters to disassociate, allowing much smaller individual water molecules to penetrate into the innermost part of the fabric and remove dirt.

Bottom line: We’re all for the idea of a detergent-less laundry system, which would save money and time for consumers and have less impact on the environment. Unfortunately, neither of these systems lives up to the potential.

The belief that magnetic fields can reduce the surface tension of water has become almost an urban legend that is widely promoted by various magnet merchants, despite the very small amount of evidence that has been amassed during the 100 or so years that the effects of magnetic fields on matter have been studied. Owing to the intense scientific interest in the properties and structure of water, one would expect that any convincing evidence that the surface tension of water can be influenced by magnetic treatment would make its way to one of the mainline chemistry journals. So far, this has not happened; what few reports there are tend to be in rather obscure publications which deal mainly with other fields and are probably not subject to review by water chemistry experts. Two recent articles illustrate this problem:

Effect of magnetic water treatment on homogeneous and heterogeneous precipitation of calcium carbonate. One of the most thorough studies on this subject was published by a group in France in 2006 (Fathi et al, Water Research 40 (2006) 1941-1950). Using a system in which a supersaturated solution of CaCO3 was repeatedly circulated through a magnetic field, they found that the mass eventually precipitated was greater than in the absence of the field. The effect was greater at higher flow rates (with or without the field) and treatment durations of up to 15 minutes.  The effect is  more pronounced for homogeneous nucleation than for heterogeneous nucleation. Although the mechanism is not clear, the authors suggest that the magnetic field may affect hydration changes as ion pairs [Ca2+ CO32–]0 form.

Most of the permanent magnet devices employ a sequence of magnets, arranged so that the water passes alternately through magnetized and non-magnetized regions. This is probably based on the experiments of Kronenberg (see below) who found that a sequence of magnets was more effective. The alternating-current devices can presumably duplicate this with a single coil as shown at the right. Most of these use a frequency in the 100-1000 hz region. Some excite the coil with square waves rather than with sine waves in the apparent hope that of the large number of frequency components so generated, some will be more effective than others.

This alignment changes what is called the “surface tension” of the water, causing it to be extremely reduced.  The “drops” of water become so small and minute, they can easily penetrate into the fabric.

Update: My credit card company just credited me the cost of the laundry magnets including shipping which I was told not to expect. They needed proof of my mailing the laundry magnets back, so without an address to send them back to (Detergent Truth refused to give me an address or an RA# because it was past 60 days, but a scam is a scam). So I sent them to the address on the warranty card. Thanks Jonathon for the info on this site. I cited it when I described the scam to my credit card company. Too bad this company refuses to return calls or emails.

It is also worth noting that what you wrote above is different than what you told me in private email about how you are handling this issue. When you tell two different stories about how you’re handling the same problem, it is difficult to believe that either is true.

eBay determines trending price through a machine learned model of the product’s sale prices within the last 90 days. “New” refers to a brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item, and “Used” refers to an item that has been used previously.

This is really a separate subject, but the purveyors of at least one magnetic device appear not to understand that there is a distinct difference between “magnetized” water (impossible) and electrically “charged” water (also impossible!), or more likely they hope that the suckers who come to their Web site will be sufficiently ignorant to miss this point. The left column contains some paragraphs we found a few years ago on their Web site; the parts that are incorrect, untrue, misleading or scientifically absurd are highlighted. Wholly-Water is not the only outfit that has hawked such schlock to the general public.

“Buy Magnets For Laundry Reviews New York laundry magnets how they work”

Magnetic Laundry System is a highly-recommended product that helps you clean efficiently. This product is incredibly healthy and provides environmental benefits of preventing the environment and clothes from the petrochemical detergents. It will help you keep the laundry room cleaner and safer. It fights against the bacterias. It allows to eliminate the use of toxic laundry detergent at your home and make this world an environmentally friendly place to live. This product comes with an amazing policy:
These devices, such as this one are promoted by hucksters such as “Dr.” Robert Beck and sold by the same outfits that flog food-energizers, chackra-checkers and other new-age paraphernalia. They generate short but highly intense magnetic fields that are supposed to cure everything from cancer to baldness. See here for one of Beck’s typical bloviations. Needless to say, there is no credible scientific evidence to support these outlandish claims. But if you have a sick horse, give this one a try. And here’s a super-powerful ring-shaped one that delivers 50,000 gauss, presumably to get that waistline down!

Does it occur to you to wonder why there is no research supporting the claim that these magnets do anything to clean clothing? Do you wonder why the manufacturer of the magnets asked an independent laboratory to compare washing clothes with the magnets with washing clothes in plain water, and then didn’t publish the results of the latter half of the experiment?
It’s understandable that there’s a demand for laundry cleaner that doesn’t use as many harsh chemicals as detergent. However, each of those chemicals serves a specific purpose in removing stains—especially when it comes to stains like sweat. And although Crystal Wash has none of the chemicals of regular detergent, it has none of the efficacy either. There were high hopes for Crystal Wash as it raised over $250,000 on its Kickstarter, so it’s a bit of a bummer that it fails at one of the basic tasks of doing laundry.
This was expressed to him in private, and now again publicly on his blog. Our money back guarantee is exactly that. A Guarantee that our customers can try the product in their own home and evaluate it for themselves to form their OWN opinion. If their opinion is that the product does not work as advertised, they will get their money back. This product is NOT, in any way shape or form, a “scam”. It is a product that was awarded two patents from the U.S. Patent Office that truly works and provides many benefits to the end user. We all have been using it for many years and have experienced outstanding results, as have thousands of others.
My sister in law’s friend sent a link a while back about these magnets she’s been using in her washing machine—eliminating the need for regular detergent completely–just clothes, water, magnets, and occaisionally stain treatment. I thought they sounded interesting, but they’re about $50 (granted that’s a lifetime investment) and I wanted to see if I learned anything else about them before trying something like this. As we try to make small improvements in our lifestyle, I keep going back to the thought of those magnets.

To get the best results, ensure you put two magnet balls into the washer before switching on the washer.  After turning on the machine, you need to add one ounce of the soil eradicator. This is a natural citrus enzyme that helps break soil particles that form stains on the fabric.  However, the soil eradicator is only applicable if the fabrics or clothes you are washing are heavily soiled. For fabrics that do not have much soil loads, the soil eradicator may be overlooked. Never forget that magnetic laundry system is not intended to be a stain remover but rather a wholesome washing facility thus the need for the eradicator in case of tough stains. After adding the soil eradicator it is advisable to soak fully before washing can begin.
“the principle of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) lowers surface tension of water, creating greater solubility and penetration, which stimulates root systems. Over time, soil compacts, which restricts the root growth. Crop Booster-treated water de-clods and breaks up the compressed soil, giving the roots freedom to grow and absorb nutrients more quickly..
I didn’t tell anybody I had made this purchase. The whole idea seemed silly. But, my wife’s skin has allergic reactions to clothes detergents and so we have been paying a lot of attention to what is actually in those products. I figured the price point was low enough that I might as will try magnets to clean clothes.
Though our home washing machine has a metal tub, I did take these on the road with us and ended up trying this out at one of the AirBnB’s we stayed in on a trip.  The washing machine had a plastic tub.
If you want clothes that are clean, stain-free, and smell like a summer breeze, throw out the washing ball and stick with a detergent that has a good track record, like Surf excel Matic. This really is the only way to ensure your clothes are truly clean.
Before you use your Magnetic Laundry System for the first time, I recommend you clean the residual scum from the washer. This is deposited in the outer tub (which you can not see) The best way to do this is to place the laundry system units into the washer drum, add 4 cups of white vinegar and run the wash cycle, either empty or with old rags/towels or clothes.
LIFETIME WARRANTY AND UNCONDITIONAL RISK-FREE MONEY BACK GUARANTEE!…If You Aren’t Completely Convinced That This System Cleans As Good Or Better Than Your Current Laundry Detergent, You Can Send It Back For A Full Refund!† AND It Comes With A LIFETIME WARRANTY So You Will Never Need To Purchase Another System!
“Hoax! This is yet another attempt at extracting cash from people with false claims. Magnets DO NOT change the molecular structure of water. Simple as that. You may get some mechanical cleaning from the balls rubbing against the clothes, and it’s true that water is a good solvent, but there’s no way it will work as good as detergent. If you want to experience this laundry miracle, try throwing a few smooth rocks in with your laundry. Your clothes will no doubt get a bit cleaner, but I’d recommend some detergent to go with it.”
Over eleven years after the first patent behind this product was filed, there isn’t a single washing-machine manufacturer in the entire world selling a machine which uses this technology to clean clothes. Is that plausible if it really works?

A more recent product is the Bev Wizard Wine Enhancer whose promoters claim (with no supporting evidence) that the magnetic field causes negatively-charged tannins to coagulate. See this Decanter article on this dubious device.
*UPDATE 3/2/16* Please see comment in the comment section below for the complete update. In short, still using this, still loving it, but there have been a few items it did not work on. I think the odor is literally in the threads used to make it, and the odor won’t go away no matter what I’ve tried.

“Best Magnetic Laundry Disc Arizona laundry magnets how they work”

I purchased the magnets and man was I ever taken for a ride. Yes the 21 day send back runs out fast and lucky if you get to use them 2 times. Do they work? Not in my eyes. The stains were still in the shirt the dirt in the sole of the socks was still there. The collar ring was still there so I think I got took on this and can’t believe I fell for that. Well I got to say the magnets did do one good thing. There was some screws in one of the pants pockets and the magnets caught them and no damage to the machine’s motor. I might still use them to catch any kind of screwes or nails in pockets that I miss.
The claimed benefits of magnetic water treatment vary depending on the manufacturer. Some claim only that magnetic treatment will prevent and eliminate lime scale in pipe and heating elements; others make additional, more extravagant claims. Some of the additional claims include water softening, improved plant growth, and the prevention of some diseases in people who consume magnetically treated water. Magnetic water treatment devices consist of one or more magnets, which are clamped onto or installed inside the incoming residential water supply line. Typical costs for a residential installation range from about $100 to $600 or more.
As I told you in email, Judy, I do not believe in posting people’s private email without their permission. But that rule goes out the window when they make false accusations against me which their private emails disprove or say things in public which contradict things they said to me in private. Continue down this path, and you will find your emails to me published on this blog for all to see, and I assure you, it won’t be pretty. Please consider this fair warning.
Much of the available laboratory test data imply that magnetic water treatment devices are largely ineffective, yet reports of positive results in industrial settings persist (e.g., Spear 1992; Donaldson 1988). The contradictory reports imply that if a magnetic water treatment effect for scale prevention exists, then it only is effective under some of the conditions encountered in industry. At present, there does not seem to be a defensible guideline for determining when the desired effect can be expected and when it cannot.
Buy only the cheapest malt vinegar – which is acetic acid – you don’t need to buy white wine vinegar, cheapest cooking salt and cheapest bicarbonate of soda. In UK the value range has much less packaging and is much cheaper than any other products. So a bottle of malt vinegar is about 14p, a kg bag of cooking salt is 63p and tub of bicarbonate of soda is 37p. I buy I of salt and about 5 of each of vinegar and bicarbonate of soda, each week but that is all my laundry stuff, all my cleaning stuff and most (I buy other items like essential oils and witch hazel too) of my toiletries.
This might NOT work for folks who prefer their clothes smelling “fresh.”  I mean, these don’t come out smelling like anything. If you like a hint of lavender, ocean breeze or citrus sunshine this will not do it for you.  Also, if you are of the belief that detergent kills germs, this might not suit you.  Really, it’s hot water that does that, so you can still relieve your germ worry with this system.  And if your water is too anything (hard, soft, whatever), your results may greatly vary. All I know is this has worked very well for my family.  So much so that I am willing to give it the Productive Mama thumbs up and signed up as an affiliate.  I can only share that they are working wonderfully for US.
These strips are mechanically coated with common household substances like cocoa and red wine, and the three tests were performed with the Kenmore 25132, a top loader very similar to what’s found in a lot of U.S. homes. We set the Kenmore to its highest temperature setting and used the Normal cycle.
Because the Magnetic Laundry System is such a powerful cleaning system the scum from the outer tub (that you can’t see) is going to be freed when the system is in use, so before you use your Magnetic Laundry System for the first time, it’s best if you clean the residual detergent scum from outer tub of the washer.  The best way to do this is to put the Magnetic system balls in the washtub and add a gallon of white vinegar; then run a wash. You can run it empty but it’s better to put in some old towels, rags or something you don’t care much about, since these could end up being sploched with stains from the old detergent in your washer.  It’s best to repeat this procedure twice so as to completely clean out the washer in preparation of your first normal wash with the Magnetic Laundry System.
After reading your article especially the above paragraph I am now even happier to use the laundry magnets. I have been using them for over a month and before that was using the pellet balls, I am saying this to inform you that I was not using any chemicals prior to using magnetic balls and they still did a good job and I am satisfied with them especially after reading that even plain water cleans thus you don’t really need any harmful chemicals to wash your clothes !! especially if they leave a chemical residue on the clothes even after the rinse cycle. Who wants nasty chemicals on their skin ?? I have a 4 year old boy and comes home with a very dirty uniform, magnets (or maybe just the water) do a very good job in cleaning it. I wash with cold water and don’t use any softner and clothes come out soft too. You might consider them as a scam but I am happy with the result. My mum has been using them too for over a month and she is pleased with the results. For any stubborn stains I use a pre treatment just like I did long ago when I washed with good quality detergents. Maybe you should investigate the harm the “common detergets” are doing to people and the environment and evaluate the pros and cons. Clothes are eventually discarded or grown out of in case of kids but not in the case of our health and the environment.
Agreed. Though I fully appreciate and agree with the accusations, observations, and demands here, I do agree that any good technology can brushed into oblivion by the rich powers-that-be. Electric cars is a great example. Even if using a detergent is needed at times, I’m certain that there are less caustic formulas and cheaper methods than those that most of us buy. That understanding does not mean that magnets is one of those cases. Thanks to this article, I now understand that they most likely do not work. Thanks.
Life Miracle’s magnetic laundry system is one of the latest trends in green cleaning: chemical-free laundry. Although more research is needed, some studies and activists have raised concerns about ingredients in laundry detergents. I wasn’t down for the Pinterest route of making my own detergent, but I thought this option might be worth a try.
By changing the surface tension of water essentially making it wetter and more slippery this allows for water to get deep into fabrics and remove odors and stains and is actually how soaps & chemicals work too, they lower the surface tension of water so in the end it is not the detergent doing the cleaning it’s the water.
To me its simple why these don’t work. They are magnets. The only think i would expect a magnet to remove out of my laundry would be ferrous metal, and even that would only work if it happens to pass withing close proximity to one of the magnets. Otherwise magnets have no properties to them that would clean clothes. They have a magnetic field but that only affects ferrious metals. If magnets worked to remove even something as mundane as dirt you could go outside and pick up dirt with a magnet. You cant though because dirt is not affected by a magnetic field.
The SmartKlean Laundry Ball uses an innovative technology designed to clean fabrics through a physical process instead. On a molecular level, the water is entirely affected by its special mineral ceramics, removing dirt and residues from clothes effectively without the need of any harsh chemicals.

“Thus, the water molecule being a small magnet (dipole), one may effect its magnetic (or electric) field by causing the molecule to turn or rotate in one direction or the other, taking on a positive or negative higher potential, depending on whether the S (South, positive) or N (North, negative) outside magnetic field had been applied. ”
For anyone that is confused or angry because they use the magnets and they “work,” you’re probably just better off using them and ignoring these sort of pages. More power to you. There is much more factual evidence provided by this author than by the manufacturer of these magnets. By the way, if you have any physicist or engineering friends, just hand the box to them and watch their face. I’m sure you’ll see the B.S. meter light up instantly in their eyes. Trust the guys who do this for a living and actually understand physics, chemistry, scientific method, etc. This product stinks like a rat.
You can visit this Web site for info on how to construct your own “liquid magnetizers”, where you learn that “This device can be used for the magnetization of any liquid that you can put in bottles, one bottle can be charged positively at the same time that the other bottle is charged negatively.
Hi Jonathan, thank you for this blog. I almost considered going for it after seeing a Facebook ad but had a bad feeling about it. My one point of confusion is how it got so many 4 and 5 star reviews from verified purchasers on Amazon. Any thoughts on the matter?
“Resonant frequency energy waves are then induced into the flowing irrigation water with the result that the energy waves travel unimpeded through the irrigation system and through the sprinkler or drip system to then move freely and efficiently through soil with each drop of treated water.” [link]
Very analytical mind… without reading your results it was almost concluded it is a scam. Thanks for spending time on it. I use vinegar to wash my clothes, by the way. Ecologic, hypoallergenic and cleans very well.
But all of this is really beside the point. The point is this: as I said in my blog postings about the Magnetic Laundry System, all its manufacturers need to do to prove that it works it to publish test results from an independent testing laboratory showing that laundry washed with the Magnetic Laundry System gets cleaner than laundry watched with water alone. They had an independent laboratory perform exactly that test, but then they declined to publish the full test results.
“Magnetic neuromedicine: an ‘attractive’ promise” by Frank Adams, a physician and neuropharmacologist, in the American Journal of Pain Management (AJPM), 1998;8:17-18. This article reports some positive clinical results and calls for more comprehensive studies.
Hey, I love this article thanks, I was thinking of buying the magnetic laundry system, but after reading your article I just don’t know anymore. I keep reading reviews all over the place that say way different things than what you are saying. For example this site says that they work great and are not a scam https://operationreviews.com/magnetic-laundry-system-review/ . I would love your opinion on why you think some sites like this are saying they work, but you are not saying they don’t. Thanks
Dr. Shui-Yin Lo is quoted in the IETM Crystal Overview: “These electric fields extend only a few billionths of a meter but are stronger than forces currently generated by man-made machines. We use such changes not only to grow IE Crystals, but tailor them to fit different chemical reactions.” (What does any of this have to do with Scientology? Anything?)
I have found that the skin irritation from laundry detergent is from the fragrance. I cannot be in the same room as a box of Gain detergent. I use the kind without perfume. I remember when most homes had a bar of Naptha soap for laundry, it worked great.
I paid for this product in June 2017, 3 months later I have not received any product. I received an apology for the delay in July explaining the company had been inundated with orders they were trying… to fill. My question is, why is the company still advertising and selling the product around the world knowing orders can not be satisfied. See More

Magnets attract ferrous materials (iron-based). So, unless all the dirt in your clothes is particules of iron, I can’t imagine how introducing magnets to your wash water would help get your clothes clean, much less replace the detergent.
Recent advances in water science has shown us that powerful magnetic fields like magnetic laundry system can make water more effective at cleaning, leaving you with clothes that not only clean but super soft because they are chemical residue free.
After each test cycle, we analyzed the stain strips with a photospectrometer to determine how much of the stain had been lifted. Since we know what the color of the cloth is underneath all the stains, we calculated how close the cleaning agents came in restoring the test strips to their native state.
If the Magnetic Laundry System ever fails to perform, simply send them back to us and we will repair or replace them. Warranty is voided if balls are used for any application other than laundry usage or used contrary to label recommendations and cautions..
It can be used in any machine and at any temperature, but it is preferable to use hot water for absolutely clean clothes. However, the temperature of the water depends on the types of clothes that you want to be washed.
I couldn’t judge the difference from laundry washed in oxi-clean until after shower. The bath towel washed with magnets does not become smelly after drying my long hair and body. Towel washed other ways usually become quite smelly right after use, or within just few minutes. The smell means that there are lots of microorganisms harboring on the towel, and the dry towel contain much stuff for them to eat. When the towel gets wet every creature wakes up and uses the nutrients from the not-so-clean towel as food and produce bad smell. I am thrilled about the thorough cleanliness the magnets achieve. I will recommend friends and relatives to use it.

Too much of a bother sending them back. They are, after all, magnets, and who knows? Maybe I’ll learn a couple magic tricks to redeem my public idiocy. They should be right handy if that day ever comes.
All you have to do it try is for yourself and also see the results with your own eyes. Magnetic Laundry System is the perfect double patented technology that make you to wash every clothes with no need of any toxic chemical detergent. You can achieve similar results using a chemical-free, completely renewable magnetic basis, without using non-renewable petrochemicals
With regard to what really does work to clean laundry, I agree that the ingredients in commercial detergents probably aren’t the best for the environment, or human health, but without some sort of soap/detergent, you will not get your laundry clean. Front loading washers are far superior to top loaders, and they require far less soap. You can go on Pinterest where there are lots of recipes for home made laundry soap. Some look interesting enough to be worth trying. With regard to commercial products, OxyClean is truly an amazing product to treat stains. I have been using it for 20 years, from back when it was expensive, and only available from those “as seen on TV” offers. Because it really works, every store now sells it, and for years now I only buy the generic version from the dollar store, which works just as well. As for actual laundry detergent, by far the best is Persil. I used to have to buy it from an overpriced, upscale specialty grocery, paying $50 for a large box, but it was worth it. Now I can buy it from my local grocery, or Walmart. It is truly the best, and no, I don’t work for the company.
I ordered magnets, never saw them !!! as a bonus offer I directed delivery to my 75yr. Old mother. The second set at $10 cheaper. The package was supposed to contain 2 magnets for washing clothes. Ins…tead it was something like tennis balls. For $50 plus to return was a nightmare with customer service. My origional order was out of stock they claimed , but charged me for it ahead of time. I waited over 2 months , when it finally arrived I had already demanded my refund / so I returned it unopened ! Not wanting to waste time with customer service again. My mom shipped me the gift I sent her to send back at a cost of $15 , then I shipped it back at $15 so post office made $45 on this product offer of buy second set at a discount….they substituted another product to send my mom, causing total confusion & long distance to explain to her. My refund took another 30 days from my cancellation ! They use your money people !!! See More
The concept behind the Life Miracle Laundry System is that you can achieve similar results using a chemical-free, completely renewable magnetic basis, without using non-renewable petrochemicals. Magnetic force is one of the most powerful forces on earth. In fact, the earth itself is like a giant magnet with a north and south pole. It is an amazing source of natural energy. Even the weak magnets on your refrigerator defy the force of gravity without batteries or being plugged into any power source. They will stay on your refrigerator, doing work and holding up papers for decades with no external power source. Where does all this natural power come from? From the environment around us. It is completely renewable and totally free. We are simply harnessing that amazing force and focusing it in your home washing machine to affect the water.

This product is incredibly healthy and provides environmental benefits of preventing the environment and clothes from the petrochemical detergents. It will help you keep the laundry room cleaner and safer. It fights against the bacterias. It’s a bit much to state that his work was “recognized”; IEEE simply published the conference proceedings. Kronenberg’s presentation can be found in IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, Vol MAG-21 (5) Sept 1985. The paper offers no evidence for magnetic water softening.
We came to a solid conclusion: When it comes to stain removal, Crystal Wash does not work any better than hot water. And, when it comes to some important stains, Crystal Wash often works far worse than laundry detergent.
Spray it on areas that are usually loaded with bacteria like the armpits, the neckline, in sweaty areas, in underwear, etc. Make sure that you test the spray in an inconspicuous area of clothing to ensure colorfastness. The hydrogen peroxide is a very effective natural bleach and can bleed colors, so be careful.
Absolutely.  Yes they are magnets so you don’t want to go rubbing them directly against the sensitive computerized parts of your washer.  But throwing them in the wash won’t impact your machine in the least.
It’s true, Danysha. That is how online ads work. I read about a company in China that sells cheap knockoff prom dresses, but if you order a dress from them, you get an awful piece of crap that looks nothing like the photo you saw when buying. I was not a customer of theirs, but out of curiosity I Googled them. My reward was that for the next 2 months, every time I went online, I was served ads for this very same dress company! As if I would ever buy anything from them. Google data mines everything you look at, and uses it to try to sell you something. It’s the same thing with bloggers. Their ad services try to match ads with the content of the post. The blogger has no control over which ad is shown on their site. If Jonathan includes in his next post – whatever the topic may be – a paragraph that contains only 2 words – adult diapers – you will undoubtedly see an ad for Depends.
You usually don’t need to use as much detergent as the company recommends. I start with the minimum recommended by the company, it usually works just fine for all my clothes. We own boats and my husband comes home with really gross dirty clothes and I will add a little extra then. Same goes with dish detergent. When I cured myself of filling both detergent cups in my dishwasher, my dishes were still clean, I just didn’t go through as much detergent
